Platform services
Connect with advocates across common legal areas
LawBar is a technology platform — not a law firm. We help you find and consult independent, verified advocates online. Any legal advice comes from the advocate you choose, not from LawBar.
Practice areas
Types of advocates you can connect with
Advocates on LawBar are independent professionals. LawBar connects you with them — it does not provide legal services or advice in any of these areas.
Criminal & Bail
Connect with advocates who practice criminal law — including bail applications, FIR matters, and police station visits. LawBar does not provide legal representation; advocates on the platform do.
Civil & Property Disputes
Connect with advocates who handle civil suits, property disputes, and tenancy issues. Browse by area and language to find someone who fits your situation.
Family & Divorce
Connect with advocates who practice family law — divorce, maintenance, custody, and matrimonial disputes. Get clarity on your options before deciding next steps.
Consumer Rights
Connect with advocates who help with defective products, unfair trade practices, and consumer forum complaints. Useful when a company or seller won't resolve your issue.
Corporate & Business
Connect with advocates who advise on contracts, company matters, compliance, and business disputes. For founders, freelancers, and small businesses who need legal clarity.
Employment & Labour
Connect with advocates who handle wrongful termination, unpaid wages, workplace harassment, and employment contracts. Know your rights as an employee or employer.
Property & Real Estate
Connect with advocates who work on property registration, builder disputes, RERA matters, and landlord–tenant issues. Helpful before you sign or when something goes wrong.
Cheque Bounce (Section 138)
Connect with advocates who handle cheque dishonour cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act — whether you received a bounced cheque or one was filed against you.
How it works
Using the LawBar platform
A quick overview of how consultations and ongoing engagement work on LawBar.
- 1
Browse advocates
Filter by practice area, language, and rate. Every advocate listed is verified by LawBar.
- 2
Connect on the platform
Start a chat or call directly on LawBar. No need to share your number during the consultation.
- 3
5 free minutes on your first consult
Your first consultation with each advocate includes 5 free minutes — enough to explain your situation and see if they're the right fit.
- 4
Pay per minute after that
After the free intro, your wallet is charged per minute at the advocate's rate plus a small platform fee. No subscription, no hidden charges.
Continue with an advocate (₹299)
After a consultation, you can send a “Continue with this Advocate” request if you want ongoing work together. The flat ₹299 fee is charged only when the advocate accepts — not when you send the request. If they accept within 24 hours, contact details are shared so you can continue outside the per-minute consultation.
