Plain language, no legal tricks.

What LawBar is

LawBar is a technology platform that connects users with independent advocates for online consultations. LawBar is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice directly. The advice you receive comes from the advocate, not from LawBar.

Who can use LawBar

Anyone above 18 years of age can create a user account. Advocates must be enrolled with a recognised Bar Council of India and must pass our verification process before going live.

Payments and refunds

Wallet recharges are non-refundable once used in a session. Unused wallet balance can be refunded on request by writing to support@lawbar.in. Session charges are deducted per minute and are final.

What advocates are responsible for

Advocates are independent professionals and are solely responsible for the advice they give. LawBar does not verify the accuracy of any legal advice provided during sessions.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for keeping your data safe, processing payments correctly and giving you access to verified advocates. We are not responsible for the outcome of any legal matter discussed on the platform.

Prohibited behaviour

You may not share contact details in chat to take conversations off platform. You may not use LawBar for any illegal purpose. Advocates may not solicit clients outside the platform. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by SMS if there are any major changes. Continued use of LawBar after changes means you accept the updated terms.
